Reviews
“Trotter operates with a sleight of hand that’s as slick as a conjurer’s….The perfomances are everything one has come to expect from one of the world’s greatest organists, notable for their clarity rhythmic buoyancy, sytlistic taste, imaginative colouring – and the ability to amaze.” Gramophone February 2012
” Thalben-Ball’s spectacular Variations on a theme of Paganini for pedals, in which Trotter shows just what can be achieved with some slick footwork and a pair of sensible shoes. It’s a clever, resourceful work and an amazing party-piece, with glissandos and three- and four-part harmony being the most extraordinary techniques rarely requested of a musician’s feet. Trotter’s playing here, as throughout the disc is impressive: exciting and delivered with flair without ever being flashy” International Record Review December 2011
‘Production values are high…Trotter’s playing is faultless, simply riveting to watch….. Highly recommended ‘ ***** Choir & Organ January 2012
